Last updated: June 3, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Kova ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit, interact with, or make a purchase from trykova.shop and any related Kova-operated site (the "Site"). Kova is the data controller of the personal information described here.
2. Personal information we collect

2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, IP address, operating system, pages viewed, time on site, click paths, and referring URL.
- Approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
- Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (see Section 4).
2.3 Information from third parties
- Payment processors (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay) provide transaction confirmation and fraud signals.
- Analytics and advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok) may share audience and conversion data.
- Shipping carriers provide tracking data.
- Email/SMS platforms (e.g., Klaviyo) provide engagement signals.
3. How we use your information
- Process and fulfill orders, including shipping, billing, customer support, and Kova VIP membership management.
- Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping updates, refund notices, subscription billing reminders, and required auto-renewal notices).
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 9).
- Operate and improve the Site, including analytics, fraud prevention, and security.
- Personalize content, product recommendations, and offers.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and respond to lawful requests.
4. Cookies & tracking technologies
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Categories:
- Strictly necessary — login, cart, checkout, fraud prevention. Cannot be turned off.
- Analytics — Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and similar tools to understand usage.
- Marketing — Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest Tag, and similar for measurement and audience-based marketing.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" for advertising in states that require it.
5. How we share your information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site and fulfill orders, including Shopify (storefront, payments, fulfillment), shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL), email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Shopify Email), customer support tools, fraud detection vendors, and cloud infrastructure providers. These vendors are contractually limited to the purposes for which we share the data.
- Advertising and analytics partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) for measurement and audience-based marketing.
- Legal and safety reasons where required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or users' safety.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain U.S. state privacy laws — see Section 8 for your opt-out rights.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and consumer-protection record-keeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order and payment records are typically retained for at least 7 years for tax purposes. Marketing data is retained until you opt out, after which we retain only what is needed to honor the opt-out (a suppression record).
7. Your rights — GDPR & UK
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to: (a) access your personal information, (b) request correction or deletion, (c) request portability, (d) object to or restrict processing, (e) withdraw consent, and (f) lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email support@trykova.shop. We will verify your identity before completing your request and respond within 30 days.
8. Your rights — U.S. state privacy laws
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Access and obtain a portable copy of your personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising.
- Opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (where applicable).
- Not be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising these rights.
- Appeal a denial of your request.
To exercise these rights, email support@trykova.shop or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer. We will verify your identity. Authorized agents are permitted under California law; written authorization is required.
California "Shine the Light" (Civil Code §1798.83): California residents may request a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. Email support@trykova.shop with the subject "Shine the Light".
Nevada residents: You may submit a verified request to opt out of the sale of personal information by emailing support@trykova.shop with "Nevada Opt-Out".
9. Marketing communications — email & SMS
Email. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing support@trykova.shop. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, billing notices) are not subject to opt-out because they are necessary to provide the service.
SMS / Text messaging. If you opt in to text messages, you authorize us to send recurring marketing text messages (including via automated technology) about products, offers, and order updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Children
Our Site is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted payment processing through Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International transfers
We process personal information in the United States and may transfer it to countries with different data protection laws. For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the U.S. we use appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), with supplementary measures where required.
13. Automated decision-making
We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal effects on you. Some recommendations and ad targeting use automated profiling, but a human reviews any significant decision (e.g., order fraud reviews).
14. Third-party links
Our Site may link to third-party sites (e.g., Instagram, payment providers, support help center). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
15. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Material changes are notified through the Site or by email where appropriate.
